Since 2012, I have provided a number of specialized therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences. I attended Saint Mary's University and graduated in marriage and family therapy. I started my career with treating individuals who struggle with eating disorders, but I have expanded my work to include, anxiety and trauma, and incorporated DBT into my treatment modalities. I have received special training in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), FBT (Family Based Therapy for eating disorders), Sand Tray Therapy, Prepare/ Enrich. I often use DBT for individuals seeking assistance with emotion regulation, while sand tray can be helpful with younger people who find talk therapy challenging.
I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among clients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. I do not believe in a one size fits all therapy approach. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in a successful treatment.
Some of the client concerns I work with are; addiction issues, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, sexual abuse, relationship concerns, and family of origin complexities. My therapy services are open to all individuals, couples, and families seeking therapeutic services.
