Kim is trained in Adaptive Internal Relational Network Therapy (AIR) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). Kim has previously worked with teens, children and families in schools and has also worked for the State of Minnesota with both the Department of Corrections and the Department of Health Services. Kim utilizes a strengths-based approach, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused methods with a heavy emphasis on Adlerian Therapy. She is passionate about nurturing others’ ability to grow through their trauma and become their best selves.
Kim has a Masters in Adlerian Psychology with a focus in Co-Occurring Disorders from Alder Graduate School, a Masters in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University and a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice from Saint Cloud State University. Kim is trained in EMDR, a powerful tool in the treatment of trauma, through an EMDRIA provider.
